What Eterna Is For

Eterna is a personal legacy preservation and memorialization platform. It exists to help individuals preserve their own life stories, memories, voice, and values, and to help families honor and remember loved ones. Every AI-assisted persona, voice, or memorial on Eterna must represent either (a) the account holder themselves, or (b) a deceased or consenting person the account holder has the legal right or documented permission to memorialize (for example, an immediate family member, or someone for whom the account holder is the legal estate representative).

Content You Upload

You may only upload photos, videos, voice recordings, writings, and other content that you own outright or that you have explicit permission to use. If content includes other people (family photos, group recordings, letters), you are responsible for having their consent — or, in the case of deceased loved ones being memorialized, appropriate authority from the estate or next of kin. Do not upload copyrighted material (music, films, published works) that you do not own or license.

Prohibited: Impersonation of Third Parties

You may NOT use Eterna to create AI voices, likenesses, videos, images, chat personas, or any generated representation of: • Celebrities, public figures, politicians, athletes, entertainers, or influencers. • Any living third party who has not given you explicit, documented consent. • Any deceased person for whom you do not hold clear legal authority or family permission to memorialize. Deepfakes, satirical impersonations, "revival" personas of famous people, fan-made recreations, and any use of Eterna to make a real person appear to say or do something they did not authorize are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination.

Other Prohibited Uses

You may not use Eterna to: • Harass, defame, threaten, or intimidate any person, living or deceased. • Generate content that is sexually explicit, glorifies violence, promotes hate, or targets protected groups. • Commit fraud, identity theft, or attempt to deceive others about a person's identity, statements, or actions. • Circumvent platform limits, scrape data, reverse-engineer AI models, or interfere with the service's security. • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense generated voices, personas, or memorial content outside of the personal and family use Eterna is designed for.

Consent, Voice, and Likeness

Voice cloning, likeness modeling, and persona features require explicit consent. For your own legacy: you provide that consent by using the feature. For a memorialized loved one: you must have their prior consent (recorded, written, or otherwise clearly established) or, if they are deceased, appropriate authority as the estate representative or immediate family member acting in good faith. Eterna may request documentation before enabling advanced features, especially voice or video generation.

Enforcement

We review reports of misuse and may remove content, suspend features, or terminate accounts without prior notice for violations of this policy. Serious violations — including celebrity impersonation, non-consensual deepfakes, or fraud — will be reported to the appropriate authorities. To report a violation or a memorial you believe was created without proper authority, contact legal@eterna-legacy.com.
